Click here to view The Record February 26, 2012 article telling the story of Tony Joe the Barber, age 90. The men who come into his shop are the men who served during World War II and then influenced the city of Hackensack during the 1960’s and 1970’s. 

He cut Joe DiMaggio’s hair and played golf with him several times. As for Tony Joe’s service, it was state side Brooklyn, Floyd Bennett Field, and Lido Beach.

Commenting on his service Tony Joe put it this way,
“I was lucky, I had it beautiful.”
